Christmas Plans

I can't remember whether I have mentioned this before or not, but I am going back to the UK for Christmas and New Year. 
以前にこのことを言ったのかどうか憶えてないんだけれど、私はこのクリスマスと新年はイギリスに帰るつもりです。

I'm leaving on Thursday, and I won't be back in Japan until the 7th of January.

私は木曜にここを離れて１月７日まで日本には戻ってきません。

I'm really looking forward to seeing all my friends again and spending time with my family, but I'm a bit worried about how much weight I'm going to put on because of all the Christmas food.

私は友達に会うことや家族と一緒に過ごす時間をとても楽しみにしています。しかしクリスマスに食べる食事でどれだけ太ってしまうのか、、それが少し心配なのです。

Oh well, I suppose that going on a diet will have to be my New Year's resolution. Again.

あぁ、私はダイエットをすることを新年の目標にしなければ、と考えています。

Anyway, I will post comments from time to time while I am in the UK, but I won't be doing another discussion topic until I come back.
